Your Hit Parade

Spain
Here's a catchy tune that will leave you humming.

http://scifisongs.blogspot.com/2009/08/sci-fi-song-20-george-rr-martin-is-not.html

(And no, I'm not. Though Parris and my editor both claim I'm their bitch).

Bravo. Just picked up the two volumes of Dreamsongs, by the way. I've read all the stories before, but it's been a while and I like to reread things.

I've also taken to reading A Game of Thrones in Japanese. It's slow going. I pause to look up stuff several times per page. But it's a way to pass the time while I wait for the next book.

Amen.
Funny, true, and catchy to boot! I really don't mind waiting for Dance. Gives me time to re-read the other books! And each read seems to reveal more that I missed the last time.

I love it when the strange conglomeration of the sci fi fandom comes together like this. Well sung.

I suppose, we all agree that you're nobody's bitch, Mr. Martin.

Thanks for the link, the song is pretty marvelous.

I have a friend who used to make jokes about Robert Jordan biting it before finishing the Wheel of Time.

He doesn't make those jokes anymore.

Honestly though, take as long as you need to. I mean, yeah, I'd love to read the next book, but I'm not foaming at the mouth for it everyday, are there people like that?

Exactly; you're not a B****, you're a Dealer that leaves a trail of whimpering junkies in your wake waiting for their next sweet, sweet fix... :)

BTW, it's a long shot but I don't suppose there'll be any HBO Series-related happenings at PAX this year in Seattle or next Winter's Emerald City ComiCon?

I'm sorry you're still getting bombarded by acrimonious emails. I have said it before, but I will say it again: even if you never wrote another word, I'd still love & be grateful for what you've already put out there. Enjoy your life, do what you want!

Bwahaha - that's hilarious! I'm so getting this for my iPod and will be listening to it on repeat for a while.

It's amazing what lengths people will go to if it means getting a laugh out of it, huh?

That is such an awesome song ^^ I did read Gaiman's response to that crude letter back in the day. I'll polish my halo here and say, some people eh?

that made me think of something: how cool would it be (for the readers) if every one of us actually had our personal writer who would write novels tailored to our very own special needs? hehe

Even if The Dance comes out in time for my kids to read it (I'm 20), I'll wait for it, with the same excitement and admiration. *wisenod*
