What is with the eyebrows in this thing? They didn't dye Sansa's either.

Anyway, this was amazing to see - so many characters I didn't see before: Gendry, Petyr, The Hound.

One major point though.. could you or have you published, like, a pronounciation guide to the names or something? After many of us realized we'd been pronouncing Baratheon wrong last week, my husband and I and I'm sure many others found at least 4 more names we'd been mispronouncing this week! :( Now I'm questioning basically everything.

Viserys: always thought accent was on first syllable, not second.
Targaryen: TAR-gar-yen instead of tar-GA-ree-en
Cersei: SIR-see instead of SIR-say
Catelyn: obviously like the common spelling of Caitlin though I did make a joke to my husband after learning about buh-RATH-ee-un (instead of bara-THEE-un) "Ha, Caitlin is probably CAT-eh-lyn or something..." lol.

I'm most concerned I'm mispronouncing Petyr. Now I'm guessing it's not Peter but probably PEH-teer or something. :( And I cannot even imagine what I'm doing to the names of the Krackens in future books.............. help us!!!!

He answered this question at days of ice and fire. He basically said that he doesn't care how people pronounce the names. He did give a few examples of how he pronounces the names but I think those were mostly said in this clip.

Okay, people. If GRRM will go as far as setting up an entire (awesome looking) HBO production, just to get you excited enough about something to get off his ass about the next book, I think it's time we cut the guy a little slack.

Seriously though. It looks freaking great!

This does look fantastic.

I've found other books with which to entertain myself while I wait for his next one. And soon I'll have a baby to keep myself busy. Note that I did not actually make a baby for the sole purpose of something to do while I wait for ADWD.

It's looking great! I think I'm going to just love it :)

Cool. This. Looks. Great!!! Just awesome. My only anoying little bit of fan wisdom if you will be so kind to indulge it here is to say that I personally wish they would darken the entire show. I mean in terms of the mood in general that you get from dark colours and a sark pallette. Set the lighting down eveywhere. I don't know much about these things but as a viewer I'm thinking about the kind of mood you get when you watch Sleepy Hollow, or even the latest Harry Potter and the Deathly Halllows. This is how the "feel" of the books come across. Thats how I would picture the series on screen. Dark and gritty, like a cloudy day in North Ireland. The only sunny parts I ever felt in the books were the parts with Dorne involved.

Awesome. I'm so pleased that HBO included you on the commentary. It's really happening, yay!

Thanks George. Looks great! :D

Wow, someday, I want to own some of those props and costumes.

And the show looks quite nice too.

The Others
I can't wait to see what the Others look like. Or better yet, I can't wait until they pass across the screen in a flash while my mind conjures up the most dreadful things it can imagine. It has been said that scary things best wear their mythic nature when hidden in the shadows...

This looks absolutely amazing, and I am absolutely DYING to see it. You must be so proud to see your world come to life so well. :)

This was really awesome XD

And I see what you did thar ;) *won't comment about it 'cause it's spoilers, but the comment didn't go unnoticed XD*

March that is? So far away. XD

As for names pronunciation, since I'm french, I mispronunce everything anyway *not feeling too concerned XD*. They changed the last names here :( It's so annoying when I want to talk about ASOIAF with my US friends :(

I noticed you managed to say Ned Stark is the center of the series with a straight face minus a small pause. Well done, though I think I have a tell for you if we ever play poker. (Sorry if you can't reveal this comment because that says too much.)

Every time I watch something for this show I get more stoked!
