It's A Wrap!

Principal photography on HBO's first season of GAME OF THRONES has now wrapped.

Which is not to say the work is done. Now comes editing, special effects, scoring, and all the other behind-the-scenes stuff that makes up post production. The cast and crew get to go home for a while; for the producers, the road goes ever on and on.

Yeah I noticed that the Brother being executed did not have the appearance of Gared from the opening scene. He was described as over 50 with no ears and missing a finger or two (damn frostbite). Not that it really matters one way or another, but I always felt the veteran Brother being executed drove the seriousness home. Obviously he's been with the watch a long time and is not a cowardly child. So him driven by such intense fear that he would desert like that gave me pause.

I think most people forget that the stories have a lot of flashback scenes, where character think back on an earlier point in their life. I doubt they will fill the story with tons of flashbacks and dream sequences though..but it gives them the ability to hang on to some characters a little longer
