The Latest HBO Preview

The premiere of HBO's GAME OF THRONES series creeps closer and closer with every passing day
(there's a countdown on the home page of my website), and the promotion continues to ramp up. A new trailer made its debut this evening.

For those who missed it, enjoy:

And on other fronts... it's still snowing on Skull Island, but one of the krakens is done and t'other is down to the last tentacle. Closer and closer... inch by inch, word by word, step by step...

The best trailer yet! Love finally seeing the actors in action.

Good to hear the krakens are nearly defeated, and to hear your optimism about getting closer and closer.

Re:Just cracked the spine on the first book
I am so jealous of people like you! I wish I could turn back time and start the story right now! Instead I finished the last installment years ago and waiting to see whats next! I found it hard not to devour each book one after the other becasue its such a great story but I highly recommend you take your time going through it or you will end up waiting to know what happens next. And that can take a while!

The trailer is phenomenal!

And thank you for the update on ADWD. Good to know the kraken's on the verge of surrender. Hope the wolf proves as pliable :)

Re: Love you George
I don’t think you will get an answer to that question (unless you happen to know personally Mr. Martin and ask him in person). Many others have asked similar questions over time and it is something that he has never answered with any kind of seriousness...

see his web site on the « Ice and fire update » for more on that subject (http://georgerrmartin.com/if-update.html).

The best we generally get for our beloved author are vague animal metaphors that get us some kind of insight on his progress... Unless you can manage to be at the same party that he’s attending (at a CON or some other merry event) and manage to get him drunk enough, he might just slip some juicy technical details your way :¬)

THIS IS BLOOOY AWESOME!

This is so you, so Game of Thrones. You seem to be very luck with your screen adaptation. HAve you already seen something more than a trailer? Is it as good?

How telling is it that I got pretty excited by the trailer and then my heart raced at word of the battle on Skull Island?

Even though I think they're overdoing it with "new" trailers every week(which somehow still show the same scenes 90% of the time, in the same order and with the same voice-overs), I've got to admit this one's the best so far.

And I'm glad to hear the battle is going your way, Mr. Martin.

Re: Winter is Comming
Dance isn't the last book. There are 2 more minimum after it. But seeing as the series was planned to be 4 books long my the time the first one was completed, I'm guessing at 8 for the final number.

just fyi, A Dance With Dragons (the fifth book) will not be the last in the series. That being said, this series is worth the read even without a conclusion in the near future.
