Tonight's the Night!

Winter is coming to HBO... tonight!

I think we can be pretty sure GAME OF THRONES will be better than SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER, at least. Fortunately, this show comes from Benioff and Weiss, not Bialystock and Bloom.

We're pretty excited here. (Even though I've already seen tonight's episode).

And remember -- HBO is free this weekend on most cable systems throughout the US. So even if you don't normally get HBO, if you have cable the chances are excellent that you can at least see tonight's premiere.

(After which, of course, we hope you'll all be signing up for HBO).

More a little later. I have to get back to Kong.

I called and subscribed today before I realized that it was free this weekend and I didn't need the subscription until next week....

Sadly I don't have even basic cable these days, but I'm eagerly waiting for when HBO puts out the DVD collection. I'm snapping that up opening day.

And now I can just picture Shatner screaming out "KOOOOOOOONG!" while you're still working. The monkey will fall!

Congrats, George. What a dream come true. :)

Congratulations to you and us :)

I've been onboard for the TV show since the first announcement, through casting puzzles and all, and I somewhat can't believe that we're finally there. But I already appreciate the show :)

Tomorrow night for some of us! Anticipation will make the taste even sweeter :)

I don;t know about you but...
I always thought Springtime for Hitler got a bad rap. It's still better than Cats. God, I hated Cats. (haha)

I don't have cable at all -- not even a hook up to the basic channels -- and I can't afford to pay an additional however much a month on top of our internet bill for HBO. Is the show going to be aired anywhere else, e.g. on HBO, Hulu, etc? I hate that I've followed this series for years and can't even watch the damn thing.

I've seen the behind the scenes and the sneak peak on Hulu so I'm assuming they will have the actual show. I hope.

Michael Jackson's "ahh-HOO!"
So looking forward to tonight!

By the way, Kong? Cat? Dog? Bird?

I cannot wait, Ser! I've quit cable forever and stream netflix through an Internet ready tv... one of the best home entertainment decisions I've ever made. I miss HBO, Skinemax, and Showtime as there's really no legal way to get these stations without signing up for cable's extortion racket. Luckily my parents live a couple miles away and get HBO.

But there's good news! i dont know if u've seen the advertisements for it (maybe someone here knows more) but ive been seeing a lot of Ads for HBO on demand NET PROGRAM (for 10 bucks). Sorta like netflix, but i'm assuming u get to watch the shows whenever u want. It might be something u wanna look into...

I'm glad to know that it's free this weekend. I was pouting this morning thinking I wasn't going to see the premier because I don't have HBO. I feel like a major nerd but I just can't help but love a good story. Thanks.
