Should Math Be Taught in Schools?

((Sad to say, this parody is hardly exaggerated at all. A few of the answers are almost verbatim to the actual answers of the Miss USA contestants to "Should Evolution Be Taught in Schools." Go watch that video on YouTube and see for yourself)).

(((There are days I think I am living in the world of Kornbluth's "Marching Morons." Just look at reality TV, and remember the hit show in his story)))

(((I am vastly pleased that the eventual Miss USA winner, and GAME OF THRONES fan, does "believe in evolution." And presuambly in math as well))).

Weirdness.
I never really understood why people choose to believe Genisis, which was written by Jewish priests whilst in exile in Babylon (That part is also in the Bible, its several thousand years after the events of Genesis take place), who also had quite a few political motives (the independence of Isreal from the babylon Empire), and has probably been riddled by copying and translation mistakes, to the letter. As opposed to active and recent scientific research and it's rather compelling evidence.

Re: Weirdness.
Because there is the belief among many Christian denominations that the Bible is infallible and divinely inspired. God wouldn't let there be errors in transcription and copying because it is His Word and He would take care to ensure that such things wouldn't happen. Disclaimer: I personally do not identify as Christian but I used to.
