Seattle Remarks

And here's my appearance in Seattle, courtesy of Vimeo, Suvudu, and the University Book Store.

Any resemblence to my pre-signing remarks in Burlington, New York City, Indianapolis, San Diego, LA, Redwood City, Denver, and Lexington is entirely... ah... intentional.

Sunday best...
The interview was awesome! After several night shifts at my workplace, I saw this and you just made my day! I do disagree on "Battlestar Galactica" though...LOL!

I wanted to go to this, but I couldn't make it Friday night for several reasons -- but I'm appreciative that you posted it. My friends and I did toast your health at the time, though.

That purple throne sure is something. Makes you look like a television evangelist.

Thank YOU for coming!
You were truly awesome this night! Thanks for being such a trooper and signing all our books... and thanks for humoring my "Damon and Carlton" question. I just couldn't resist! :-)

You, sir, are just about the best interviewee ever. You always provide the most insightful and in-depth answers (despite how it's always the same questions asked). I could listen to you talk about your work all day.

It's unfortunate for me that you're not coming anywhere near where I reside. *sigh* Thank god for these videos, and bless the soul who filmed this.

Thank you so much for posting these interviews. I have to say I like the moderated Google one a bit better, but both were very informative. Your comments and insights make me really want to write (which I plan on doing after I'm done with this comment). I can't wait to see what you'll reveal once the series is complete. You're an inspiration for would-be authors like myself. I wish you the greatest success, and I'll be sending you positive writing energy your way. :)

I second pete_clark's comment. I really like the chair, very stately! I have thoroughly enjoyed the interview, particularly because I'm one of the 'new' readers (mostly because I was 8 when A Game of Thrones made its way to the market). I would really love to come to one of these sessions, but seeing this was the next best thing!

I guess Benioff and Weiss still hold to the naming convention that readers and viewers will be confused if the names are too similar. They must believe that HBO viewers will suddenly be unable to distinguish between two actors if the name of one of the characters is Osha and the other is Asha.

A Jets fan sporting Baltimore Ravens colors at every signing venue, tsk-tsk Mr. Martin!

You were hilarious!
I was there for this event and you had the entire audience chuckling. I only wish I had picked a better question to ask you while you were signing! Thanks again for a most memorable evening!

Thanks for the video, I was in a bad spot in Lexington and couldn't hear most of your comments. I love that term, comfort fiction, not that there's anything wrong with that.

With all the new fans from the movies, books and the video I saw from the San Diego Comi-Con, I think we can officially declare ourselves, "Thronies", watch out William Shatner.
