More Signed Books...

... are available in New York City, at the HBO Store on SIxth Avenue near 43rd street.

I dropped by there yesterrday, signed a couple boxes of DANCE hardcovers, and stacks of paperbacks of the other titles. Get yours while the supply lasts.

Lots of cool news to report but there's no time. Parris and I are still in NYC and the days are full. I'll try to catch up when I get home.

if it's any comfort
it wasn't a 'real' signing, we were just visiting HBO NYC HQ and stopped off at the shop and George signed some books whilst I looted, er, choose some GoT items to donate to charity auctions.

Love from Canada
Hey Mr. Martin!

I've been a fan of yours since the HBO series Game of Thrones came out, then I realized there were books out as well and it took me less than 3 months to finish all 5 volumes of A Song of Ice and Fire....I'm a single mother so 3 months was fast reading for me! I'm from Toronto, Canada and I'm 25 years old...and in this book, you've made the perfect book of fantasy! You've made all my dreams come true in how a book should be, so thank you...I've been itching for a book like this for many, MANY years since my childhood days....so once again, THANK YOU for your excellence and dedication in presenting the world with such an epic tale.

Now...if you would only stop by Toronto...I'd appreciate it even more! ;)

I literally, can't wait for the next volume...so pleeeeeease finish it soon....this is my literary addiction so feed my hunger soon!!!

George just stopped by....
the Barnes & Noble at 5th ave & 46th street, signed most of their hardcover stock as well. Those copies should be on the shelves stickered and ready to buy by the time you see this post. George will put up a separate post about that when he gets back from his lunchtime meeting.

All going great here in NYC, good to see the city in its holiday finery.

Re: George just stopped by....
Eat some good greasy NY style slices for me! Any plans for a future pizza crawl? It was a shame the one in Connecticut didn't work out. I just got over a stomach virus myself. It was horrid. But I'm back to normal again and would pay the iron price for some awesome New York pizza!! Nothing else compares.

I saw on Jim Butcher's LJ that he'll be contributing a Dresden Files story to the 'Dangerous Women' Anthology. That news, coupled with the fact that you'll be giving us the next Dunk & Egg story in that collection means that, imho, you really don't even need any other stories in the book. Those two seem like they're worth the approximately $30 cover price right there. Thanks!

I am looking forward to hearing more about your adventures in NYC.

Hey George, in New York for a holiday visit? You should check out the Cloisters, the museum up in the 90s overlooking the hudson river. The whole place is set up like a medeival monestary/castle, lots of great tapestaries, treasures, and stonework imported over from Europe during the Robber Barron days. It's a great place to visit on a cold winters day, and may very well inspire a few scenes in some of your work, or at least get the juices flowing.

NYC is magical at Christmas. I wish I had known beforehand about the book signing. My friend and I did see you when we went to breakfast at Norma's, one of our favorite places. Hope you enjoyed it.

The Dance Goes On
Gotta love it! A Dance With Dragons keeps on Dancing all over the New York Times Best Seller list. It has notched up 5 spots over the last two weeks. It's also up on the Combined lists, although it has dropped off the eBook list.

A Dance With Dragons - Polish language version
I would like to inform you that the 1st volume (ADWD has been divided into 2 volumes) was available on the Polish market on November 22, 2011. Its cover is an exact copy of the original one. Unfortunately, I don't know how to attach a picture of it to this post. I'm sure your Polish publishers, Zysk i S-ka, can send you the picture in order to add it on your website.
Several days ago I sent an e-mail to your assistant, with a picture of a very beautiful medieval floor tile showing wolf and lion (I didn't attach it to my post from the same reason - I didn't know how to do this). I don't know if you've ever received it, but I think it is an interesting coincidence...
Anyway - have a nice stay in the NYC, and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hohohoho !
Hello there, I`m quite new to the series ASOIAF but loved all the books and just finished "Dance". Can`t wait for the next title Winds of Winter, but I guess I`ll have to wait till next Christmas. But I`ll be patient even if the wait takes as long as Tyrions boat trip (:-) In the meantime, I`ll read your other unique works, will start with "Wildcards" (is it a prequel to Ice and Fire ? - will have to do some research). Happy Holidays, good ser !
