Home Again

Back home again. Returned from New York/ New Jersey yesterday.

It was a great trip, and an eventful one. More on all that shortly.

Oh, and for those still looking for autographed books... I hit the big B&N on Fifth Avenue and signed their stock of A DANCE WITH DRAGONS and other titles before leaving town. So that's three locations in NYC that should have signed copies for the holidays. For as long as the supply lasts.

It's beyond awesome that you take the time to randomly poke into bookstores to ninja-sign your work. I hope folks in those areas score a copy!

NY/NJ trip ever include Bayonne?
Hey George,

Just wondering, when you're in NYC on extended visits, do you ever secretly swing through Bayonne and see the old neighborhood? Must be very nostalgic if you do. I'm certain that the Kill Van Kull must have been an inspiration for one of the tributaries of the Trident, certainly Hoster Tully would have chosen his seat somewhere along 1st street, with a commanding view of New York habor and Staten Island . . .

goodness, your signing hand must be calling it quits 'till next year with all that work!

What's cool is that I saw on the Jets site that you were in attendance. You need to go to all of their games, except the Giants one. I still favor the Giants.

Hello from Taos,
This post reminded me that I recently learned you grew up in Bayonne in the fifties, as did my father, and you now live in northern New Mexico, as do I.
In any event, wondering how/who I might contact about inviting you to pay a visit to Taos? The literary society up here would love to have you come speak -- particularly a youth program that I coordinate -- it's difficult to tell whether I need to contact your publisher, or you directly, so I thought I'd try some non-traditional avenues!
Thanks very much for your time; you can reply here or email somos@somostaos.org; big fan, love your books, thanks for your dedication to all of us out here reading along!

Hedge Knight I
Trying SO hard to find the first volume of your hedge knight comic adaptation for Xmas but they have become SO expensive now. I'm kicking myself for not buying them last year prior to the shows release. Don't have any laying around to you? Haha, no be seriously do you know if these will be published again? Clearly there is demand. - Patrick patrickireland@gmail.com

Re: Hedge Knight I
I am negotiating with a new publisher to reissue the graphic novels of HEDGE KNIGHT and SWORN SWORD, and adapt THE MYSTERY KNIGHT as well, but the deal is not closed yet.
