Home Again

Got home last night, and slept and slept and slept.

This morning I feel almost human.

It was a great trip, but a long one. I am glad to be home.

Tons and tons of stuff to catch up on, of course. So much email... so much mail mail...

Best get to it.

Oh man, sleep is awesome. :)

Welcome home!
Just thinking about all the travel you've done has made me tired! I hope you get some well-deserved rest while you're catching up on your work.

I'm happy you've had time to rest! You deserve it!

Welcome home, George
Enjoy the draft and even with Tebowgate at least you aren't getting your first pick at #95! :)

Re: Welcome home, George
On the bright side, Lodey, Al probably won't be rising from the grave to pick the fastest player in the draft that can't play. Okay, maybe that wasn't fair. Heyward-Bey looked pretty good last year. ;)

My beloved Cowboys need to get the best defensive player on the board. I'm still not sold on Mark Barron. Dallas hasn't had good luck ith safeties. I'd like a d-lineman like Fletcher Cox, Michael Brockers, or Courtney Upshaw. OR go offensive guard David DeCastro if he's still there. Either way they are in position to get a good player.

Thank you for taking the time to sign so many books in Forbidden Planet, London. I made a detour to the shop (Coventry - Cambridge - London - Portsmouth) after a very disappointing interview and was delighted to come away with another copy of 'Game of Thrones'.

Draft should be fun. I'll be curious to see how our respective teams fare. :)

Kinda silly to say this but my favorite part of any trip is the feeling of returning home and crashing into my bed.

Game of Thrones used as example on radio
In the morning on the way to work I listen to The Morning Buzz, a New Hampshire morning show. They used Game of Thrones as an example, just like many references casually used during a conversation.

Looks like "Game of Thrones" is becoming a common household phrase...kudos.

Re: Game of Thrones used as example on radio
They used it on South Park, too. The chalkboard says Greek, Roman, Stark, Baratheon, Lannister, Targaryen. And Mr. Garrison gives a discussion about history, citing A Game of Thrones, while the kids are having discussions in class. It's pretty awesome.

Now, the time is nigh for Lord Coffee to make his rulings.

After a thorough sleep cure, of course.

Welcome back. Here's to hoping the Jets get a good WR in the draft.

I too am home finally after a week in hospital, but what I really came here to share is KittyCam.

A Cat rescue place in Perth Western Australia has teamed up with a local ISP to bring a live stream of the kitten enclosure it's too cute for words.

I'm not sure if I can direct share a link so I'm not going to, but if you google KittyCam and iinet you should be able to find it

We are all glad you and Parris made it home safely. Hope you had a great trip and were able to mix in some pleasure with all the business you were obligated to undergo. I know the site of Santa Fe and your home must have been a terrific site...it is always nice to get back home after being gone for an extended trip.

George - I'm a bit late to this party lol and couldn't comment in the TIFF section; sorry I work in film and that means long days on a set for last 2 months. Anyhow thank you so much for coming to T.O. and TIFF - I was working that event, loved the lecture and someone was kind enough to get my copy of Clash of Kings signed by you. So gracious of you to share the night with all of us there - and you are seriously witty in person:) I did get my pic on the throne and met so many fantastic fans of GOT. One of the best comments on why they loved your books/tv series was "because you really give a crap about many of these characters as I think GRRM does." Wanted to share that. You and Parris are always welcome in T.O.!
