Off to Seattle...

... to teach at Clarion West.

But there's a reading and signing at Town Hall as well, sponsored by the University Bookstore. Check with them for details, Seattle-ites.

Have a great trip but bring an umbrella
The Pacific Northwest is usually lovely in summer, but it rained here for most of June. Hope the weather cooperates for your trip!

Greetings from Colombia
I'm from Colombia, South America; and I really like the plot you've built up in your books. I'd just finished Clash of Kings. I hope by the time I'd be done with the fifth book, the sixth and the seventh had already been written too. :D
Just for the record, I haven't seen the HBO's TV show; I came across the books thanks to the show, though.

I will be there. Now, I haven't finished Dance with Dragons yet, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!! bah, I know that's a hopeless request. My prediction for the rest of the book: more people die horribly, food is described in great detail, and a lot of people wear boiled leather.

I say all this with a deep respect and fervent admiration for your world-building skills, though.

I'm going!
Sweet. Finally, you're coming to Seattle for an event that I can actually make room in my schedule to attend. I can't wait. The Pacific Northwest loves ya, George! Even though we're Seahawks fans ;)

If you get a chance, head somewhere where you can see Lake Union on the evening of the 4th. The fireworks there are spectacular. Enjoy your stay here!

GRRM already has enough on his plate. Well, he actually has too much per his recent post.

Welcome back to Seattle George!

Niceeee, wish I could have enrolled, the whole workshop sounded great. Alas I didn't have the 5 grand (airfare included) to throw around this year. Crack some writer's heads and don't be gentle. Everyone needs some solid, hard-hitting criticism in order to grow.

Thanks for the terrific reading and q&a!
I was desperately trying to finish A Dance With Dragons on my iPhone while waiting for you to appear ... but still have a few chapters to go. My friend and I really enjoyed listening to you read from your next book (despite the spoilers) ... After spending a few hours in the world of Westeros, I always end up wanting to call my husband a bastard (or a bastard's bastard), planning to send my son off to be a squire, and imagining that my basset hound is a direwolf.

It was a Thoroughly enjoyable Evening! Who knew you were so funny!?! ;)

Thank you again for the rare opportunity to see a master at work!

Plus I realized all this time I've been mispronouncing Yunkai! ;)

Hey George, GoT season 3 filming is underway, so surely there were new actors cast by now. Are you going to post any Froggy updates in the near future?

Visit Peru!!
You have lots of fans in Peru, the land where magic exists!! Go visit (if you need a break, which I guess you really do) specially Cuzco, and you may even come back with new ideas. Food is amazing in Lima, try the sea food :D
I am loving your books and now that I finished A Dance with Dragons I am missing my (your) characters dearly. I feel so lonely right now…not fun to be back in reality. I would love to come to one of your workshops. Someday! ¡Se feliz! :)
