Last Day in New Zealand

We're headed home tomorrow.  I shudder to think of all the email and mail and work that awaits me.  But it;s time… I have started to dream of green chile.

Yes, I am aware of the SOUTH PARK episodes.  No, haven't seen them yet.  THere's been no time for TV down here.  But I will get to them eventually, no doubt.  Till then I live in fear.

Yes, I am aware that my football teams continue to suck.

There's word that Telltale might be making a Game of Thrones/SoIaF game. I don't know if you have anything to do with the decision making on that kind of thing anymore, but if you do, well chosen.

I know you're not much of a gamer anymore, so I'll just say the Telltale Walking Dead game released last year won a whole slew of 'game of the year' awards based upon its story, characters and tough decisions. It was brilliantly done, enough so that I actually greatly prefer it to the Walking Dead TV series and comics. I don't think Telltale could write a story equal to yours, of course, but if given the chance to do something original in Westeros I definitely think they could do it justice better than almost anyone.

South Park
"You" are in the second episode, and I'm assuming you'll be in the third episode that airs next Wednesday. While the episodes are hilarious (some of their funniest in a while), your portrayal doesn't make that much sense. Apparently you're obsessed with wieners. Also, I think the pizzas you order are supposed to be a metaphor for finishing your books...this probably doesn't make any sense now, but it will when you watch it.

Are there any plans to put more of the WildCards books onto the Kindle? I read the first 3 on there, but after that only the most recent are available.

I heard that previous problems arose after switching publisher's, is that still the case?

Thanks regardless, I really enjoyed them.

(I know that you prefer comments to be related to the blog post, sorry. I didn't see any recent wild cards posts)

P.S. I'm buying Tuf Voyaging for my Dad at Christmas, should be a great present. Thanks.

I don't think the portrayal is meant to be anything but a fanboy rant about wanting things quicker. If they were actually trying to take a shot at George, it would be very different.

They only show reverence for awful things, like Saddam Hussein.

Life in Bayonne Time Line
Saw your timeline about life in Bayonne. Someone posted on Facebook. Brought back memories. I left in 1969. Have lived in Stone Mtn, GA, Miami, FL and Minneapolis. Back in FL again. Still haven't found another place like Bayonne. It was a different world. My parents moved to Bayonne in 1920's as they couldn't afford Jersey City. Congrats on your success. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to create a book about another world, yet alone a whole series. I guess the Marist Brothers taught us something. If you get down to Orlando or Tampa drop me a note. We keep losing too many of the people from Marist, too soon.

glad to hear the trip is going well, I know you are eager to get back to the states and your green chiles. I figured you had heard about the South Park episode, haha, you will enjoy it I am sure. All in good fun.

We'll save some green chile for you but I can't make any secondhand promises about the jalapeño bacon :-> Travel safe!

Dream of Chile
I haven't tried green chile before! I wonder if maybe I should do a google recipe search. Speaking of cooking, I recently picked up a Feast of Ice and Fire and yes! Those lemon cakes are yum.

Super envious of your trip 'Down Under', by the way. I've considered doing that very convention tour myself being as they are timed so conveniently... make it a bit of a 'work holiday'... but at the same time, just the idea of planning it all stresses me out!

I hope you had a fantastic trip, and that you were left with enough energy to go out and enjoy a lot of the sights and sounds while you were down there. Cheers!
