I Hate Football

Finally home from all my travels, no major events to fill up my weekend, a Sunday free for football... and both my teams go down in flames.

The Jets at least put up a fight against the Panthers.  Their D is for real.  And there was one cool moment, when Rex used huge DT Sheldon Richardson to pound in a TD.  But I still don't believe in Geno Smith.  How did he get back in when I wasn't looking?  Last I heard, he'd been benched and they were going to give Matt Simms a try.

The Giants game... I have called in the Men in Black to have that wiped from my memory.  5 INTs??  Oh, Eli, where are thou...

I Can Relate...
ASOIAF and all things Westeros have turned my world upside down for over a decade now.

Perhaps it’s "only fair" that my Seahawks provide the Giants with a bittersweet ending as well, if only for a weekend.

Sea slug named after Khaleesi
Hello, sir! I just want to tell you that I am a brazilian zoologist and I recently published one manuscript where I describe a new species of sea slug, named Tritonia khaleesi, in honor of my favorite character. I can not post links here, but I posted another comment with the links, in case you want to see the manuscript.

Thank you very much for your attention, sir!

As a huge Jets fan that game was tough to watch, somehow we're still alive for the playoffs if the Ravens lose tonight lol... Also, Rex put Geno back in because, as I'm sure you know Rex's mantra, "he gives us the best chance to win."

Until the Jets get at least league average WR play however, us Jets faithful are doomed to insufferable offensive ineptitude

12th Man!
Eli can't lob balls near the Shermanator! You have to admit that Lynch TD was impressive...BEAST MODE! It's our year. Go Hawks!

There should be Football in Westeros!
There should be Football in Westeros!

Or a Westeros Football version in America. With dragons and weapons and pits of fire where players can fall into.

Lots of fire and special effects. You could present it at Comic-Con.

I am sorry....this has been a good season for me. Colts win division, Manning breaking records. Hang in there, there is always next season.

writing and the Giants
Hello George! The Giants...the Jets...oh my. I grew up in upper New York State and am a fan of both so I know how you feel! I hope Eli recovers his mojo for next year and the Jets ..just not sure what he is up to.

I have a question. Do you have a formula for your writing or does it just flow? When I was young my first exposure to you was Fevre Dream and I never forgot it. I am an aspiring writer looking for some guidance from the master!

A Hunch
I have this weird feeling that if the G-Men and J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets had been more consistently good over the years fewer of our favorite characters would be dead. Then again, if the Giants hadn't beaten the Pats twice in the Super Bowl maybe Westros would have been destroyed by Asteroid Brady 19-0.

We are happy that my husband's KC Chiefs are finally doing well, and even my Chicago Bears are having a short respite before they crash again. So I can't be sympathetic towards NY, but do hope you get out of your funk soon. As we Cubs fans say - there's always next year....(I love to see any Manning lose, sorry, would rather it be Peyton)

Seahawks vs Giants
And the Great Seahawk, Hobb, swooped down towards the Giant,Martin. Talons poised and ready to destroy it's adversary. On the very first pass Hobb tore out the giants left eye, leaving Martin bellowing!

Hobb soared away dripping the enemy's blood.

Circling again high above the Giant this mighty Seahawk
dove on it's prey. Martin saw it coming and readied to tear the bird from the sky!

But the Giant, already wounded, was too slow and received a long deep gash on the arm instead.

Suddenly Hobb ripped a fair sized tree right out of the ground and in an impressive dive hurled it, the tree landing with a crash at the Giants feet.

Missed! You might be inclined to think? No. Hobb was merely trying to make this fight a bit more fair by
offering Martin a weapon...

Well, it was a futile effort. The massive Seahawk so thoroughly defeated the Giant that it din't even become a story and no one ever spoke of it again.

....Hope you're ready to root for a REAL team at the
The Seahawks - home state of Robin Hobb (don't know if she's a fan actually but I thought it'd make a better
