Another Tease, Another Taste

HBO gave us another taste of season four tonight, before the latest episode of TRUE DETECTIVE.

48 days and counting.

Unless you live in Santa Fe.

Looking good
Can't wait for season 4. Really enjoy the show and the books.
Is it me or someone getting Coldhands at the end?

Re: Looking good
Could be, but i dont think so

I know that hbo could adapt him in a different manner for the series, but Coldhands wears the nights watch black, have a scarf concealing his face and rides an elk

Also, unless hbo would specifically reveal his identity, we should not be able to see his face, since its one of the mysteries of the series so far

Re: Looking good
Seems like it's Coldhands to me. Especially as his hands are black. His tunic does appear to be black. Possible showing his face won't actually be a spoiler in the series? Time will tell I guess. Plus I don't think the Elk would transfer well to live action so the horse makes sense.

Re: Looking good
Except, of course, that knowing that "showing his face won't actually be a spoiler" would in fact be a spoiler.

Re: Looking good
If that is CH, it doesn't mean if he isn't a certain somebody on the show that he may not still be a certain somebody in the books. D&D have said that there may be more and more alterations coming up for upcoming seasons.

(Apologies if that is confusing in any way - I have copious amounts of Nyquil on board for a nasty cold :-) ).

New season
OMG!! I can't wait, I'm so excited with this!!!
I just hope it does justice to the book because it is truly amazing. I cannot wait to see the final scenes of Tyrion. They are a masterpiece... :)

Seems like we see face?
Which would not be consistent with Coldhands - but who knows...

"Unless you live in Santa Fe?" What, are they blacking it out like local football games?

By the way, George, I visited the Gamblers Book Club & General Store here in Las Vegas, and one of the Game of Thrones titles was shelved with the Gaming books. Ha!

I cannot contain my excitement! I've been reading the books VERY slowly and am somewhere around the 350 page mark of A Feast for Crows. It's torture not reading the books in a weekend but I need something to look forward to.

This season looks fantastic. I can't wait to see what makes it into this season and where the finale will leave off!

Bouncy... Me too! :-DDD

Unbelievably I'd never heard of Game of Thrones until last year when I wanted to watch a tiny bit of ep1, just to know what all the fuss was about on twitter et al. media.

After ep1 I started on book 1 and read all 5 in one go until last week.

Book 4 is so epic and I can't wait to see it on TV. If it wasn't for you, Mr. M, we wouldn't have the pleasure of waiting at all in the first place. Very very grateful for your creative world and all the characters in it.

Thank you! :-)

The Purple Wedding and the duel of all duels look beautifully shot. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. There will be so many jaw-dropping moments spread throughout the season. I think the pure show watchers will be shocked once again, but this time it will be a gauntlet of shocking moments and revelations spread over more than one episode. This will be great.

Thank you
I just wanted to thank you for your work on ASOIAF. I read the Tolkien books when I was a child and this is the first time I have been captivated and enthralled by a story since then. I feel like a kid again in some ways. Thanks for making fiction fun and interesting to read again. You are the best.
