A New New Trailer

HBO unveiled another season 4 trailer while I was off in New York City for the red-carpet premiere at Lincoln Center and the Epic Fan Experience in Brooklyn.  Most of you have likely seen this one already, on one of the fan sites, but for those who haven't, here 'tis.

It was a great trip, by the way.  New York City remains amazing, and in between all the official events, I found time for a pizza crawl through Brooklyn, and a visit to Bayonne, city of my birth.

More on all this later, if I ever find the time.

Thanks a lot!
Hope to see the new season, not AK-74 in Ukrainian army.

Getty has some really nice photos of you from the premiere. Glad y'all had a good time!

Glad you had a good trip. Which pizza places did you hit and which had your favorite slice?

The season looks pretty good indeed. Hope you enjoyed, you most likely did.

What was it like being back in Bayonne? From the sounds of things, you don't visit there too often. Do you have family there as well as history? The pizza crawl sounded amazing. Recommend us one pizza place if one finds themselves in NY very briefly! Finally, have you been to the Sopranos restaurant since they put the 'reserved' sign at Tony Soprano's table?

Can't believe season 4 is only two weeks away. Time's just flown by. Waiting for season 3 felt like forever but this has come around really quickly. No complaints from me.

The premiere looked fantastic. Also loved the appearance of your turtle pin! The more I see that snazzy wee dude, the more I like him, and in purple no less, my favourite.

Oh, man. Like sourdough in San Francisco, there is nothing like pizza in NY. Must be something in the water. Whatever it is, I'd wager it's tastier than anything in Westeros.

Back in a day, I heard Somtow reading from his then-unfinished werewolf novel. He said that for the first hundred twenty pages it was dark. And snowing.
The preview made me think of that.

Was on the tail end of a trip to NYC when I saw the giant DRAGON and had to stop by. Next thing I knew I was at my first red carpet premiere! It was a blast getting to see all the people involved with the show and I can't wait for Season 4!

I was at the Brooklyn premiere and I must advise you - NEVER STAND NEXT TO HODOR AGAIN. He makes you look like Tyrion!

You cleaned up good :)
Nice photos, very stylish.

Glad you enjoyed some pizza in Brooklyn. I lived there for 4 years once upon a time and spent much time and calories at Patsy's, down under the bridge. Better than anything in Manhattan, back then.

Brooklyn pizza is amazing, but the Bronx pizza is the city's best kept secret. Louie's and Ernie's on Crosby Ave has a slice better than any you'll find in BK ;)

Pizza Crawl!
I've done a few pizza crawls in NYC myself, and am planning one for a friend next month. I'm curious to hear which places you visited and/or where you recommend. I'm glad to hear the premier went well--can't wait for April 6th!

Re: Pizza Crawl!
Our crawl was all in Brooklyn. Is that where you will be?

The fourth season starts on my birthday, and try as I might I cannot think what to say when my friends ask me what I would like, since the best present of all is already coming. I might ask them for new copies of the books, I've read them too many times and 1-4 are starting to feel the strain of their years of service. These books have given me strength through the beautiful characters, they have sparked my fondness of languages and literature all over again and they have given me a place to hide when the world I live in is so difficult to understand. In the high halls and narrow alleyways of Kings Landing, under the shade of the Great Pyramid of Meereen, beyond the Wall in the frozen forests of the wildlings my mundane troubles leave me be for a time, and I could not be more grateful. I know thousands and thousands of people have said this all time and again, excuse me for being such a donkey, but I had to write this. I have no words to describe how much the stories of these people have inspired me, they are awesome in the actual meaning of the word.

With the utmost respect and love,
Mother of Ferrets (I swear, dragons might be easier)
