Game of Thrones Ascent for iPad

An Announcement brought to you by the Minions of Fevre River:

Last year, Disruptor Beam developed Game of Thrones Ascent for the Web, and several million players—comprising thousands of alliances--have joined the conflict in Westeros.

Today, Disruptor Beam just launched a new version of the game for iPad.

If you haven’t tried the game since it first came out, it’s worth checking out again now.  Many features have been added, like forming alliances with other players for large-scale battles—not to mention a huge amount of content, items and artwork.  If you’re brand new, then you’re in for a treat: the iPad version is a big improvement over the Web version, with crisp graphics and an overhauled touchscreen interface.  As Season 4 airs, the game will also feature weekly updates based on the events you watch on HBO.

Disruptor Beam tells me that an Android tablet version will also be available in several weeks.  For those of you with an iPad, you can download it today by following this link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/game-of-thrones-ascent/id799145075?ls=1&mt=8

You can also get more information about all the versions of the game on Disruptor Beam’s website: http://disruptorbeam.com

Game of Thrones Ascent
This game is fantastic and the addition of tablet versions is only going to make it better. It's got great replay value via reincarnation, and the way they release content in step with the HBO show is very cool.

I love the idea of game of thrones games, but so far I must say so far I've been disappointed, the best game is the mod of a game called 'mount and blade' which is amazing and I strongly recommend. Looking to the future though!!

Game of Thrones Ascent
This game is fantastic. It is very true to the world and the characters within. It's one of the best browser games I've played. The community is brilliant and helpful. The Disruptor Beam team are hardworking and listen to its player base. I can't wait for the android version. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go put down a Lord that's been spreading lies about my house.

Really is good
I've also been waiting for the iPad version and it's everything I'd hoped for. Great music from the HBO series as well as buttery-smooth transitions, high-res text and artwork, with a great side-story that ties well into the books. Well done, Disruptor Beam. And thanks for licensing that out to them, George.

I've been playing the desktop version since the beginning, lamenting the fact that there was no iOS version- but no more!

Now I'll be able to curse my inability to quicken a dragon egg from anywhere I can grab wifi!

A little too enjoyable
I actually had to stop playing this thing because it was taking way too much of my time. Only other time that's ever happened to me was with WoW.

All the Wild Cards books under Tor have had absolutely stellar covers. I'd frame them and hang them on my wall if I could.

Are all these examples digital artwork? It doesn't look like traditional oil on canvas. I miss the fantasy/sci-fi covers of the '70s and '80s. Even the paperbacks had amazing covers.

Whatever anyone can get their hands on is, I suspect, the right answer.

At the last party, it was an open bar with pretty much everything you can imagine on offer. There were some special drinks as…

Any chance you could tell us who’s doing the cover art for Fire and Blood? And maybe when we can expect a glimpse of it. Thank you!
