Skunked Again

0 and 5 last night.

What can you say?  BREAKING BAD was a juggernaut.  A great show with a great final season.

(But Peter Dinklage was robbed).

Personally I am now 0 and 6 in the Emmy derby.

This was the 66th annual Emmy Awards.  66 years, and no science fiction or fantasy series has ever been honored.  Many have been nominated, yes.  None have ever won.

Just sayin'

Emmy Awards for GOT
It wasn't a surprise that Breaking Bad won most of the awards because it was the final season.

Game of Thrones will win plenty of Emmy Awards in it's final season....in another 66 years.

Breaking Bad was ending
It was expected the Academy would honor them so much, It's a superb show with a very good story, and it was thrilling and surprising.
Should it win over Game of Thrones? of that I'm not sure, Peter Dinklage was very dominant during this season and his acting was superb, I can't really say Aaron Paul was better as Jesse Pinkman than Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, BUT he is a good actor, and he nailed Jesse's role, much as Peter nailed Tyrion's role, I think they got extra credit because Breaking Bad is over, while Game of Thrones will have more seasons and Peter Dinklage will surprise us once again, And maybe(hopefully) next year the Emmy will be his. Breaking Bad was one of the best shows I have ever watched, and it's very difficult to compare between those great shows, mainly because they are of different genres(except Drama of course).
To say the Academy's choice was wrong? Biased? That's not true,
A great show has won, Hopefully next year the best show will win :).

Re: Breaking Bad was ending
Next year will be the valedictory for MAD MEN. I suspect Jon Hamm will finally get his long-overdue Emmy, since neither Matthew McConaughey nor Bryan Cranston will be back, and Peter Dinklage and the rest of the GOT men compete in Supporting, nor Lead. I think MAD MEN also has to be reckoned the favorite to win Best Drama, though there are some very strong new shows that may heard from as well. MASTERS OF SEX is going to contend, I think, and WGN's new MANHATTAN series (filmed right here in Santa Fe) is Emmy-calibre, start to finish.

Which is a long winded way of saying... no one knows, but I think it unlikely that the Academy will suddenly overcome their sixty-six year old aversion to science fiction and fantasy.

I would have rather them handed you an Emmy instead of that typewriter!
