More Signed Books

The online bookstore at the Jean Cocteau website is up and running, and has received such a huge rush of orders that we are already running out of stock on some titles.  We will refill as soon as we can.  Be patient, my Cocteau team is new at this.

Meanwhile, they are busily adding new titles.  If you're looking for signed books by NEIL GAIMAN, by LEV GROSSMAN, by JUNOT DIAZ, by DENNIS LEHANE, well, look no further than

In the very near future, we should be posting up books by ANNE PERRY, JOE LANSDALE, DANIEL ABRAHAM, HAMPTON SIDES, and other great writers as well, so check back often.

thank you.
Thanks so much. I spoke to the people at the cinema via phone and they were very nice. I can tell they are backed up though. But I do believe these people will indeed get me an order if at all possible.
I also wanted to tell you that I really appreciate how reasonably priced the books are. It allows someone to have something that they can truly treasure at a very affordable price.

We truly appreciate the work you have done for us, and the world you have created for us to visit.
Thank you and Merry Cristmas to you and your family.

Hi George.

As I’ve said in previous posts on here, I am currently re-reading Ice and Fire for a fourth time. Each time I spot something new. I believe you have said numerous times that this was your intention.

Now, I know this is probably not the place to ask (I’m not sure where would be), but I have almost become obsessive about a particular character who I had previously seen as only a minor part – Patchface.

His utterances, on first reading, seem like the throwaway ramblings of a fool, which he is. However, on re-reads, one realises his ramblings seem almost prophetic. I paid particular note to Mel’s comment about him in Dance too (which I won’t repeat for fear of spoiling).

I cannot believe you have created this character as a mere throwaway. You must have big plans for him (even though he isn’t in the show)? Please, for my sanity, let me know. Even a simple yes or no would allow me to sleep at night (kidding – actually, no I’m not!).

Re: Great news
I would love to get The Widow's House! That series has just kept getting better and better. I also cannot wait to get some more Expanse. I am still floored after reading Cibola Burn.

Re: Great news
We do have some signed copies of the Expanse books at the Cocteau. Not sure if we have THE WIDOW'S HOUSE or not, but you can ask.

Re: Great news
Lands of Ice and Fire is sold out and the hardcover version is apparently worth a fortune on Amazon right now. Any plans on selling more copies of it?

Re: Great news
Yes, certainly, as soon as they restock.

Remember, the Cocteau is a small theatre, we can't carry huge amounts of stock.

Re: Great news
I didn't see any of The Expanse listed on the page or the search by title/author. Perhaps I have to call. Thanks for the tip!

Collector's plea
Ser George,

A logical extension and, I'm thinking, one which could eventually become the equal of the cinema.

From a collector's POV, something that would be very helpful is an indication of the impression number (particularly for those books that are 1st editions).

I would have bought a signed copy of Wit & Wisdom today, but it is already sold out! I'll keep trying.

Many thanks and have an enjoyable Christmas.

Thank you
Wow, I was thrilled when I wandered by here today and saw this announcement.

I rushed to the site and as I scrolled down I held my breath, until I saw her. A copy of my book, my most loved book, she is beautiful and worn and warm when I hold her, her pages soft and flowing, the words familiar and close, loved & treasured.

My heart skipped as I pressed PayPal (for international orders), and froze as I awaited the page to load, only to my horror and deep sorrow to receive: "We're sorry, the following item(s) isn't available at this time:"

Fevre Dream is no longer in stock. My dear Abner, my companion Joshua, the 2 men in my life that have traveled with me through thick and thin, never leaving my side even in my darkest hours, was unavailable to purchase.

Thank you for putting one of the most beloved books in my collection up on sale, it's a shame that I missed it. I hope you will do another release.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
