We Got It!

Just got off the phone with Jon Bowman, the booker at the Jean Cocteau Cinema.  Jon just got off the phone with Sony.

THE INTERVIEW will open at the Cocteau on Christmas Day.  Four shows: 2pm, 4:30, 7pm, and 9:30.

We were otherwise going to be closed on Christmas.  We're opening just for this film, and will devote the whole day to it.

We have booked a full run, so THE INTERVIEW will continue to run for two weeks, in rotation with the other films that we had already committed too before this all broke.

We may schedule some midnight shows if there's enough demand.

So come join us, and celebrate Christmas... and free speech... with Seth Rogen.

CHRISTMAS EVE ADDENDUM: All four of our Christmas Day showings are completely sold out.  Tickets for the Friday shows are going fast, and those will probably sell out as well.  We are adding extra shows on Saturday to accomodate the demand.

Questions about firewyrms and other stuff
Merry Christmas from chilly Sweden! I have a couple of questions about the firewyrms, wyverns etc.: 1. Are there/were there ever any more sea dragons other than Nagga? 2. Do firewyrms still inhabit the fiery caves and mines of post-Doom Valyria? 3. What´s the difference between wyverns and dragons(except the fire-breathing part) 4. Is there a special connection between dragons and magic(If wyverns and firewyrms still exist, then shouldn´t Danys dragons have a very limited impact on the world´s magic, seeing as there are other magic creatures roaming around Essos and Sothoryos)?

Re: Questions about firewyrms and other stuff
You're way off topic.

Questions like this are best discussed on one of the many fine fan sites: Westeros, Tower of the Hand, etc.

I can't be there, but friends are coming to Santa Fe for New Years and I urged them to attend.

The problem is, unless the major theatre's showed the movie. This does have a chilling effect, perhaps not as big as the Miller Test or the Comics Code. As someone with a programming background I will say... in the end, the only way information can be secure is if its using wordstar on a dos machine too old to be connected to the internet. Hackers are the new barbarians, and at some point they will sack us, and end the current age.

Another problem, irregardless of free speech, seeing the Interview supports Sony. Sony is evil. Do remember the Interview is not some North Korean trying to criticize his govenrnment.

If King Joffery & Kim Jong Un swapped brains, do you think anyone would notice?
