Happy Holidays

Merry Xmas to all.  Hope Santa was good to you.

(Maybe some of you found THE WORLD OF ICE & FIRE under the tree.  Or THE ICE DRAGON).

Those of you near one of the 300 independent theatres showing THE INTERVIEW today, do go and take in a show, and help us make a statement.

Re: Happy Holidays!
Sorry, if I start doing that, I will be doing hundreds of such greetings.

On this occasion, I think of the poor children in Westeros.

They behave all year long, follow their parents' orders. Winter comes and they happily hang up their stockings before putting out the fire and going to bed. Dream about Santa as they hear the noises coming down from the chimney.

Then a White Walker eats them whole.

*scoff* Like a Walker would ever do that.

...they're not large enough to swallow children whole. They'd tear them into bite-size chunks first. Alive.

Your truly an inspiration
Just want you to know sir that you have allowed me to enjoy some of the best storytelling I have ever experienced you are truly an inspiration and a great person with a superb mind. Take as long as you want finishing your books because what you have given is already is worthy of eternal praise and I would class it as a masterpiece thank you for all the memories and have a lovely Christmas.

Thank you!
Merry Christmas to you as well! While I will not be viewing The Interview today, my family and I did make it up to the Cocteau last night for A Christmas Story prior to heading out to walk Canyon Road.

I want to thank you for the Cocteau. We had such a wonderful experience. Every staff member we encountered was kind a courteous and genuinely friendly. From ticket purchase to concessions (gotta have that popcorn) to the manager who chatted with us as we were bundling up to brave the near cold temps we felt welcome and sincerely cared for from start to finish. We have made several sojourns from ABQ to Santa Fe for a visit to the Cocteau and every visit is this pleasant.

It is the kind of local business where I walk in and immediately feel at home and wish this was where I worked (are you hiring?). If all your ventures run like this beautiful little theater you must surely have many happy and loyal minions.

Thank you so very much for whatever part you play in giving this local business to Santa Fe and the larger community. It is truly a marvel.

btw I did walk out with a copy of The Ice Dragon to share with my daughter. It is beautiful.

Re: Thank you!
Very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Cocteau so much. That's what we aim for -- good movies, great popcorn, drinks (for those of age), and a friendly "hometown theatre" experience.

Not to mention signed books. We had Diana Gabaldon in yesterday, signing a large stack of her OUTLANDER titles, and we've got 2015 calendars signed by Donato Giancola, and MAKING OF GAME OF THRONES books signed by Sibel Kekilli, all sorts of treats.

Anyway, come back often.

Merry Christmas George
Love that you're playing The Interview. I hope you sell out all your showtimes today.

As far as gifts go. Do you know when Episode 2 of the Telltale 'Iron from Ice' game is being released?

And you have released a few chapters of TWOW this time of year. I think that 5 chapters is plenty, anymore and the book may feel small when I finally get my hands on it. But since I'm a junkie and I won't be able to restrain from reading it, pick that disturbing Aeron chapter if you decide to.

And what did you get for Christmas? And what did you get Paris?

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
I am extremely grateful that Santa left the World of Ice and Fire under my tree. I have already looked over The Long Night and some of the pictures of Aegon's Conquest. I am looking forward in taking the time to go over the other parts of the book.
