DANCE Gets Covered

Okay, I may not have a book yet, but I have covers.

Here are the American and British covers for A DANCE WITH DRAGONS.

If I can deliver the book before the end of June, you'll see these in your favorite bookstore sometime this fall.

If I can't, well... you'll still see them eventually, I hope.

Okay, I think I pooped myself a little. I CAN'T WAIT!

I foolishly started rereading book 1 last night (I had to buy ANOTHER copy of it, I keep giving them away to get people addicted to the GRRMy goodness)...oh, well, that just means I get to reread the whole series again come the fall. *squee* Want!

Honestly, I don't like it at all. I'm not really into these simplistic covers that have started with Feast and are the new paperback covers for the earlier books. I personally preferred the style of cover from Clash, Storm and what was the early cover for Feast.

ooo, that's exciting - i guess i should start my reread soon!

I'm a longtime reader of your blog and this is my first post, but thanks so much for this series! I've never been this emotionally invested in a series of books, and hearing we might be getting the next installment sometime this year is good news indeed!

keep up the fantastic work :)

You know, I actually prefer the American cover! I like when books have simplistic covers, generally. And I like the green.

Simple pleasures for a simple man, I suppose.

Why do the Brits always get the better covers?

I live in Italy but I have always bought the British edition because it is AWESOME... (well, and it comes in bookstores earlier.)

If I recall correctly the UK edition came out almost a month before the North American edition of this book. Will this be the case again with the release of this book?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!

Sorry you're stressed. I hope to see it this year, too, but we all know it's worth the wait. You've just given us a taste of blood, I'm afraid, but it's so good to see it come one step closer to in our hands. Thank you for always taking time to write good, well connected books instead of pumping out crap to meat deadlines. I'll still love you if it takes two more years :)
