DANCE Gets Covered

Okay, I may not have a book yet, but I have covers.

Here are the American and British covers for A DANCE WITH DRAGONS.









If I can deliver the book before the end of June, you'll see these in your favorite bookstore sometime this fall.

If I can't, well... you'll still see them eventually, I hope.

Yeah, I did some poking around about the issues you mentioned, And I agree with you.

Lots of other depictions of dragons make them six-legged, and there *are* six legged creatures. They're just very, very small.

As far as heraldry goes, show me some real heraldry of a lion that really looks like a lion, right? I hate heraldric lions.

I still love the cover. 6 legs, 4 legs, whatever. It's pretty BA.

Heraldic lions? Well, this one is nineteenth century, so at least the artist had a better idea of what lions looked like. Still pretty heraldic, but at least they don't look like dogs.
