Cocteau Website Back Up

For various complex reasons that I won't go into (mainly because I don't actually understand them, being semi-literate where computers are concerned), the Jean Cocteau website has been down for a couple of days. But I am pleased to say that I just checked, and it's back up.

Yay, Raya. Round of applause, please.

This means that, yes, once again you can buy online tickets to the Wes Craven Retrospective that we are presently screening, to the Royal Shakespeare Company's streaming performance of OTHELLO from Old Blighty, and reserve books (and seats) for Andy Weir's visit a week from tomorrow (which looks as if it its going to sell out, by the way).

Also, for all you autograph hounds out there, let me draw your attention to our Signed Books page. All the books we sell are autographed, and we've had some great authors passing through of late. So, while supplies last, we have signed copies of titles from Elln Datlow, Steven Gould, Joe Lansdale, Melinda M. Snodgrass, Felicia Day, S.M. Stirling, Dennis Lehane, Anne Perry, William Gibson, and many many others.

((FYI, some of the titles -- like THE CHANGE and THE DOLL COLLECTION -- have multiple signatures, including some of the contributors as well as the editor)).

Oh, and of course, we also have a bunch of titles by that GRRM guy. We expect to be offering hardcovers of A KNIGHT OF SEVEN KINGDOMS as well, though they're not up yet. Soon.

Colours in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
I may have missed it, but are the illustrations in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms in colour, or just black and white?

Re: Colours in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Thank you! I can't wait to pick up a copy. I read the first Dunk and Egg novella a long time ago, so I can't wait to see how the illustrations compare to my image of the duo.

Signature
I have been checking for signed books by you but they seem to be sold out at all times. Do you ever have book signing dates at the theater? I would love to come to NM and get my book signed. (And I promise not to ask about WoW hahahaha )

Re: Signature
All of your ASOIAF and side books(?) are shown as sold out to me :/ tried each and every title. I have tried today and several weeks ago. Is that just a page issue?
Since we're "only" five hours away, we were hoping we could take a road trip, watch a show at your theater and maybe get a chance to get our books signed. We have just ordered the leather bound ASOIAF Series and were hoping we could make this set perfect with your signature :D

Re: Signature
Hmmm... the books are not sold out. Don't know why they are showing up that way. Thanks for the heads up, I will look into this.

And yes, signed books are always available at the JCC itself.

Yay, I'll just come down to NM to buy the book myself, since I want to check out the theater anyway.. and hopefully the mural. Is there any chance to see you and get a handshake from the master himself??? :)

Re: Signature
Depends on when you visit. I do visit frequently, but I am not there every day, obviously.

Best time to find me is for one of our special events -- a magician, a booksigning, etc -- rather than a movie.

Signed Books
Looking forward to checking out the bookstore and getting signed copies of my favourites! Any chance you'll have The Martian before Monday? I'm visiting Thursday through Saturday so I can't make Andy Weir's signing event.

RE: Signed Books
We should have copies, yes... But they won't be signed, for obvious reasons.

New York Comic-con
I picked up a great plush of you at NYCC. Talking, numbered and "signed." I am hoping it is authentic, but just know, you were there in spirit.
