The Red Death Is Coming...

... to the Jean Cocteau.

For one week only, Edgar Allan Poe's horror classic MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH, starring Vincent Price. Direct from 1964.

See it on the big (well, medium-sized) screen. With popcorn.

Man, I want to visit your theater so desperatly but I kinda live on the other side of the planet. If I ever make it to Santa Fee the Cocteau is definitely the first place I'll go to (right after eating some green chili of course ;D)

Hi George I seen you posted a while back that you were having an artist come to your movie theater and paint a mural. Has he painted it yet and what is it of?

Poe was one of the first authors i really got into, and whats awesome is I'm from Baltimore. Ive seen where he lived, and his grave, its pretty cool. One of the few literary masterminds from this city

Brings the stories, prose, paintings, and anecdotes home when you think about it. Purportedly, there were men in long robes, usually black, carrying censors or similar devices that spewed smoke and brought the plagues. This is one of my favorite movies. I love the lavish splendor and of course Vincent Price. The historicity is a bonus.
