Autographs! Autographs!!

Here are just a few of the large selection of books who can get SIGNED from the bookstore at the Jean Cocteau Cinema.

Lots of my own books are available too... along with more titles from Gabaldon, Gaiman, Lansdale, Stephenson, Andy Weir, Lisa See, Dennis Lehane... and even a few from Pat Conroy.

For the full list, go to http://www.jeancocteaubooks.com/

And YES, copies of OLD VENUS and OLD MARS are still on sale at 30% off, while the supplies last.

Any plans for shipping signed books internationally?

Re: International
Still working on that. It is possible we can work something out with Amazon that would allow for shipping.

We can ship internationally now... for anyone willing to pay the shipping costs. But the shipping costs are obscenely high. That's not our call, nor in our power to change, but some of our customers overseas get very angry about it.

Re: International
I am willing to pay the obscenely high shipping costs, but I can't find a way to place my order on the site. Is there something that I have missed?

Thanks in advance!

Re: International
There's no automated way to do it at present. You need to email.

International shipping
Very good.
Unfortunately, I asked for a shipping cost estimative to Brazil on some of the books signed by Gaiman and never got a reply from the Cocteau.
Anyway, these signed books are awesome.

ASoIaF Restock?
Hello! I was wondering if there will be a restock on the signed hardcover editions of the A Song of Ice and Fire series in the future. I missed out on getting a copy of A Game of Thrones back in 2014 and would love to fill that hole in my collection! :)

Re: ASoIaF Restock?
Everything should be in stock right now.

Re: ASoIaF Restock?
Hmmm it looks like I can add it to my cart but when I go to check out it says it's out of stock... Perhaps I missed it again?

Oh that is so cool. Alas, I am trapped in Idaho for the time being, but as soon as I get to visit New Mexico, the Cocteau is #1 on my list of stops.

In other news, I need to blame your books for getting into my subconscious. I'm revising my latest historical paranormal romance, which takes place in 19th century Britain and realized that I kept typing "Maidenpool" when I meant to type "Maidstone."

So hopefully that gives you a bit of a chuckle.

Hi George!

New fan here. I just finished all the Song of Ice and Fire books and I love them! Someday I hope to write that well.

Will the worldcon bookstore have any of the Old Venus, Old Mars anthologies? This is my first year as part of Worldcon, and I'm excited to participate. I wish I'd been a member in time to nominate Felix Palma's Map of Time novels. They deserve all the awards! :)

There is no "worldcon bookstore." What there is a dealer's room (us oldtimers call it a 'hucksters room,' where bookdealers and purveyors of other sorts of fannish merch sell from tables.

Some of them are likely to have OLD MARS and OLD VENUS, I suspect, but there's no guarantee.

Looks like a good selection of books. I hope writing the TWOW isn't being too much of a burden and I'm sure whenever it comes out it will be brilliant (which I think should be the main priority with a story, rather then just producing plot-hole riddled and poorly-plotted stories quickly). And whenever Fire and Blood comes out I'm sure I'll enjoy that as well. I hope it contain more family trees.

Hunters Run
I see your name up top for Hunters Run - were you an editor or an author?

Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors. For people looking at this list, I'm sure all of these authors are fabulous (Unfamiliar with one) - but if you haven't read American Gods, treat yourself.

Re: Hunters Run
Author. It was a three-way collaboration.

Daniel Abraham
Hi George,

any chance you'll have signed copies of the latest/last entry of the dagger and the coin series available from your friend Daniel Abraham? Which brings me to a related question - will there be an event at the Cocteau with Daniel on his completion of this great series?

Re: Daniel Abraham
We will have the book, yes.

And I'd love to have Daniel back. But the lad is BUSY.

Thank you!
Wow! That's one hell of a selection. Thank you for doing this. It means a lot to me to be able to get a book signed by the author.

Dear Mr Martin

I wrote you a message on this blog about 2 years ago, about signing my books. My economy could not handle the shipping cost at that time. But my girlfriend and I are going on our honeymoon in April to New York, and could ship from there, as the cost is much cheaper. I just wanted to know if your offer still stands?

With respect
