I'm so glad these enhanced editions exist - it's going to make re-reading the series that much more interesting. Can't wait to hit all the highlights in ASOS, especially Oberyn's touchdown dance on the 1-yard-line - GRRM, I've always assumed that was the inspiration.

The book covers are amazing. The simplistic nature along with the those passionate colors is really mesmerizing. I think I will have to pick up a set once I wear out my current GoT set.

Are the illustrations never before seen?
I am seriously considering buying this, I just want to know if the artwork is exclusive to the edition. Thanks

Yea, I'm with this guy.
I swear to Christ if any of this artwork has been published--foreign or domestic --I will no longer consider purchasing it. You won't be getting my $11.99!

Purchased! I love, love the author's annotations. Are they all written by you ? Do you plan on doing iBook versions of the Dunk and Egg stories? I am rereading them now, (as I purchased the autographed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and noticed something interesting about Eustace Osgrey (related to the other question I asked you about a few weeks ago). Take care. Sincerely your huge fan,

Wonderful Coincidence
Great news. I have decided to read your wonderful books a second time, but now in english (first time was a german translation, because i am from Austria), so i bought the illustrated novel from GOT and now there is an enhanced edition from A Storm of Swords. Perfect timing.

This Edition seems a little more valuable, than the orange hardcover.

Boiled leather
Hi George!

I realize this may be slightly off topic, but I always meant to ask you: Have you heard of the "boiled leather" version of Feast & Dance, where they reorder the chapters to make it one cohesive book?

I'd just like to know your opinion on that (good? bad? don't care? thought about having your editors do that for the Ebook versions?) as the writer in the sense that it changes the pacing of your story.

Re: Boiled leather
I know various fans have combined the two books to produce one. I believe there are several different reading orders.

It's fine if fans do it for their own amusement.

No, we don't plan on releasing a combined ebook.

Re: Boiled leather
Thanks for that!

I was more interested in your opinion of it as the author.

Do you like the way they turned out as standalone books in the greater arc of the series, or would you have preferred a single 'extra long tome' for those two books in particular, given the infamous 5 year gap issue you had to solve?

Thanks again for the time, I hope you have a festive and very happy holiday season!

Tiny question about ASOIAF; Will we ever learn what do the Pink, Gold and Purple Graces do? Would you tell me what they do? I was re-reading Dany chapters and I realized I enjoyed the tidbits about the Graces.

Illustrated books?
I suppose this is only tangentially related -

I bought the illustrated edition of A Game of Thrones and love it! I was wondering if there are any plans to release the rest of the books in the series as physical illustrated copies? I'm not interested in e-books, so those illustrated books are the closest I can get to these enhanced e-book editions. Not to mention, the art is beautiful without fail!
