Bundling the Wild Cards

Haven't tried Wild Cards yet?

Well, here's your chance.

Tor Books is doing a special ebook bundle of the first five volumes of Wild Cards. (Including the new editions of volumes one and four, with five additional stories).

The whole bundle is available for only $39.99, starting today, from

Here's your chance to find out who Gregg Hartmann is, meet Dr. Tachyon and the Four Aces, ride with Jetboy on his last flight, go into action with the Great and Powerful Turtle, hang with Fortunato and hunt with Yeoman. Can't beat that.

Once you've read the first five books, of course, you'll be reaching for volume six, ACE IN THE HOLE. We've got good news on that front as well. Tor will be releasing the long-awaited reissue on February 28, in trade paperback. With another stunning cover from Michael Komarck.

Fly high, aces!

Re: Books
I will likely write more stories set in the world of Westeros after ICE & FIRE. Dunk and Egg, for starts.

Will I ever attempt another seven-book megaseries set in an entirely different fantasy world? Unlikely.

I have other stories I want to tell too. SF as well as fantasy. More Wild Cards, more Thousand Worlds.

Re: Books
Do you think you will ever finish the Thousands Worlds novel you put aside years ago? I believe it was called Avalon?

Possibly a Fevre Dream sequel ? You've mentioned that in the past.

RE: Re: Books
Wonderful news that you may write more Westeros stories down the road. Happy day!

I always said it would be a sad day at the conclusion of A Song of Ice and Fire.

Sorry about your Giants. But not as sad an ending as the Redskins' fans endured.

Re: Books
Will we ever explore the far reaches of Essos or Sothyros?

I'm torn on wanting to read about either. I think a lot of what makes me want to read about them is the lack of story letting my imagination dream up my own stories, enriching the world far better than any story ever could.

That said, something to explore the Five Forts and the Empire of Yi Ti or the Ibbish would be incredible. A Westerosi exploring these regions on his own journey or adventure in the present, past, or future of ASOIAF (all equally interesting prospects) is something I personally would love to read.

The prospects reminds me of a story I read as a child, The Chronicles of Ikros. I think you would like it!

Hooray for more Dunk and Egg! I've always wondered if Dunk will meet Tanselle Too-Tall again...
