Wild Carders Rule

It's awards season, and some of my Wild Cards writers have been covering themselves with glory.

David D. Levine, creator of the Cartoonist and the Recycler, just won SFWA's ANdre Norton Award for best YA novel, for ARABELLA OF MARS.

Carrie Vaughn, creator of Curveball and Earth Witch and Wild Fox, took the Colorado Book Award for AMARYLLIS.

And one of our newest Wild Carders, Emma Newman (wait till you meet her character), made the shortlist for the UK's prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Award, for her novel AFTER ATLAS.

Congratulations, all. Well deserved.

Oh, and speaking of Carrie, check out her post on the Wild Cards blog site, a tribute to her favorite WC character (that she did not create herself), Doctor Tachyon.

Wild Carders Rule
It comes as no surprise. You have amassed at least some of the best in the business if not nearly all to create a mosaic masterpiece. At some point, I believe that the Wild Card series will rank up there with LOTR, Asimov, Clarke, et al in the pantheon if it doesn't already. An amazing project, not the least of which it is the combination of great minds that makes it work. Not that I am accusing anyone of being Hrangan, mud pots, or greeshka.

Speaking of awards, Alt Shift X's breakdown of Game of Thrones / ASOIAF is the greatest thing since sliced bread. That guy deserves some type of recognition or award. I look forward to his analysis on previous episodes, plots, and theories, almost as much as I do the Books or Show..... "Almost" Please tell me you've watched some of his content.

ASOIF/GOT
Hey, you have been a huge inspiration for me for countless years and I am a young aspiring author, myself. Is it cool if I ask you a question?

Who is your favourite character from ASOIF/GOT? Why?
